A grand ceremony for the completion of Calcium Carbonate & Short Fiber Recovery Project was held at Reconstitution Tobacco Sheet Workshop at 9:30AM, August 22^nd. The Company’s leaders, project team, suppliers, as well as representatives from each department, took part in the ceremony.

The ceremony was presided over by Vice-general Manager, Fu Yuanfeng. Mr. Fu presented the details of this project: the project was put forward in 2014. From 2014 to 2015, it was repeatedly going through various feasibility studies where the Chief Expert, Patrick, provided the project team with valuable supporting documents and advice. This project was approved by the Group in April, 2016.

The team member, leader of Reconstitution Tobacco Sheet Workshop, Fan Gongbo presented the project background: this system recycles calcium carbonate and short fibers from the white water while manufacturing reconstitution tobacco sheets. On one hand, the recycling of the white water can reduce water consumption. On the other hand, the recycling of calcium carbonate can save the overall usage amount of calcium carbonate. In the meantime, the recycling of the calcium carbonate before it goes to the sewage treatment system can reduce chemical agents needed to treat it. All these three advantages combined can bring the Company up to one million Yuan of direct economic benefits annually.

Mechanic Director from the Reconstitution Tobacco Sheet Workshop, Huang Biao made a speech: this project was the first project that had been undertaken by the team members, who had to overcome difficulties such as, tight schedules, the complex structure of the project, among others. Despite all the difficulties, the team inspired innovative thinking, renewed traditional construction methods, and cooperated with one another among departments. Through 21 days of hard work, the team completed the project successfully four days ahead of schedule.

Finally, General Manager, Zhang Ziheng, on behalf of the Company, congratulated the successful completion of the Calcium Carbonate & Short Fiber Recovery Project, saying the completion of the project is a direct result from the hard work of leaders from different levels, departments taking part in the design and management of the project, as well as constructors who helped build the equipment. Mr. Zhang also congratulated the project team for the successful completion of the project on behalf of the Company, thanking them for the extraordinary contributions they made.

Meaning of the project

1．The project was singlehandedly launched and conducted by the Company, signifying the strength of the Company’s organizational system;

2．This project brings about three benefits: product quality, product costs and clean production;

3．Through sincerity and hard work, the project team demonstrated the work ethic of “promises must be kept and action must be resolute”, which paves the way for the Company’s departments in fulfilling the lean management;  

4．This project exploited the Company’s technologies to their utmost, proving Goldenleaf’s strategy for development which is centered on and driven by technology, pushing forward the next round of technology innovation and process improvement, laying a solid foundation for Goldenleaf in leading the industry in terms of technology.
