Scientific research group：
With a global view, we have introduced four famous international senior experts who are from U.S., France and seven visiting specialists, and have recruited and cultivated more than (100) technical talents.Our technical center includes(10) PhD's and (20+) masters. In a word, we have successfully forged a united innovative research team which highly acknowledges the enterprise culture.
Technology platform：
our company is acknowledged as the Recon Engineering and Technological R&D Center, Enterprise R&D Center, High-tech Enterprise of Guangdong province, and a major expert enterprise of Papermaking Process Reconstituted Tobacco of STMA. Relying upon the technical platform, we have built closely-cooperated joint laboratory together with Guangdong, Yunnan, Anhui, Jiangxi and Hunan Tobacco of China Industry. Outside of the tobacco companies, we have also built university-industry cooperation bases together with colleges and universities such as South China University of Technology (SCUT). We have undertaken and completed several technical projects of STMA and Guangdong Tobacco Monopoly Administration.
Key technology and intellectual property：
GD GL has successively built its first small scale pilot line, and first large-scale production line for PM recon. All of these have filled the technical void of this field in China. We have undertaken 30 major significant scientific research projects among which eleven are provincial projects, one have filled domestic blank, three have been bestowed the award for scientific and technological advancement. By now we have had over 50 invention patents of nine categories regarding ‘Technology and Equipment of PM Recon’ and ‘Air-laid Papermaking Process Recon’, and 14 theses which are issued by Chinese core journals. Our company is the one that has the most intellectual properties in the recon industry in China.
In 2011, the company has initiated the Papermaking Process RTL Production Line Technological Upgrading Project, which was included as the annual major specialized project of PM Process RTL Production Line Technical Upgrading by STMA next year. On Mar. 27th 2014, this production line project passed the acceptance inspection by experts of STMA for its international advanced level. During the validation, our ‘high speed high efficiency continuous stable extraction technology’ and ‘white water recovery process technology’ have received the technical authentication of STMA experts for its ‘international leading’ level. The ‘highly precise weight gain control technology’ received the technical authentication of STMA experts for its ‘international advanced’ level also. The technology achievements of this production line --- ‘High Speed, High Efficient, Clean and Stable Key Technology of Papermaking Process Reconstituted Tobacco’, was bestowed the Second Prize of S&T Advanced Award by STMA.
Technical services：
Core tech and innovative technology has been promoted by GL via industrial and radial way. GL has provided process design and technical support to 7 large-scale production lines, such as Anhui, Guizhou, Hunan, Taicang, and Hubei etc. and have joint production with Shangdong Rivers Tobacco Company, Hunan GL Recon Company, and Shanghai Taicang Recon Company, which receives widespread praise.
Analysis & testing：
GL technical center is equipped with advanced ultra-high pressure liquid chromatography / tandem mass spectrometry, GC-MS, and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer, etc. with total more than 60sets. It ensures preciseness and accuracy of all test data for tobacco component analysis, 7 types of harmful substances in smoke, plasticizers, pesticides, harmful components and heavy metals
GL utilizes modern online control system, such as DCS, QCS, and SPC to realize automation control of the whole production line, which provides technical support to the stability of the process and quality of the product.

At present, a scientific, standardized and complete quality management system has been built up, which has passed the audit of ISO 9001 to provide a solid foundation to the establishment and implementation of a traceable system for product quality.

goals：
It will be market demand oriented domestically and abroad to focus on the current development situation and future tread in recon and its up and down stream industrial based on the need of low harm cigarette, and leads development direction in tobacco industry. GL will make efforts in achieving major breakthrough in technical development field, such as new tobacco flavor, harmful components and tar reduction, and metabolic replacement based on independent innovation, bio-technology integration, strengthening critical applications in technology research via introducing, digesting, absorbing and improving international advanced technology.
